Donate Your Gently Used Books Today
Support Literacy, Enrich Our Library, and Keep Books Out of Landfills!
We Love Donated Books!
At the Friends of the Tysons-Pimmit Regional Library, our mission is simple yet meaningful: we rescue gently used books, give them a second life, and turn them into affordable treasures for our community to enjoy.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization made up of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about literacy, libraries, and community engagement. In partnership with the Tysons-Pimmit Regional Library, we accept hundreds of book donations each week—carefully sorting and reselling them through our popular quarterly book sales, lobby shelf sales, and online storefront.
By keeping books in circulation, we:
Promote literacy across all ages
Encourage sustainable book reuse and reduce waste
Support and enhance local library services, programs, and resources
Welcome gifts, endowments, and bequests in support of our mission
We are proud to serve as stewards of literacy and lifelong learning—and we truly love and support our library community.
Join us (tysonslibrarybooksale@gmail.com) to connect with fellow bibliophiles who support the Tysons-Pimmit Regional Library and literacy programs, and make a difference in our neighborhood!

Browse 20+ categories including Cooking, History, Biographies, STEM, Culture, Fiction, Mystery, Sci-Fi, Classics, Self-Help, Business, Hobbies, Religion, and more. We also offer DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, graphic novels, manga, puzzles, and games—plus thousands of books for kids of all ages.
All donated items are carefully cleaned, sorted, and priced by our dedicated volunteers—most between just $0.25 and $4!
Can't wait for our quarterly book sales to find the perfect book? We offer great books for sale every day in the library's front lobby! Shop the whole wall of lobby shelves for current and notable titles in categories like Children's, History, Cooking, Fiction/Mystery, Classics, Business, Romance, Health, Family, Culture, Self-Help, Humor, Travel and more, as well as books for Children of all ages. Make your selections and pay electronically at the library's sales kiosks. Books make great gifts, too!
When it's time to clean out your own shelves, bring your gently used books to us! Place 1-2 bags of books or DVDs/CDs/audio books, puzzles, or games in the bins at the library's front doors, or contact us to drop off larger boxed donations at the library's loading dock. Email us at tysonslibraryfriends@gmail.com or call (703) 338-3307 to arrange a time.
